watched the descendants with greg yesterday. it was a really good film, very believable, and it definitely struck a chord with me. after the movie we walked to ion and waited 45 minutes for paradise dynasty. imo the wait was worth it, the xlbs were better than crystal jade/din tai fung and the same price too. can’t wait to go back again and try the colored xlbs :)

talking to nicole during tuition makes me feel so old. conversation with her requires me to whittle away the extraneous, distilling facts and words and figures until only the bare minimum remains. little kids view the world with such simplicity. it’s a beautiful thing, really, and i refuse to be the one to deliver the crushing reality of how ugly life can actually be sometimes.

first try with the horizon; excuse the washed out colors as i’m still getting the hang of using manual settings. i love this picture of aunts, ama and papa. it was taken on day one of our trip to korea (ie. the coldest day), and in between pushing my fur hood over my ears and stuffing my already gloved hands into my pockets, i somehow managed to turn around and snap this picture....
